This week I tried 5 days of the Paleo Diet! While I am not one to hop on any diet train, I have heard a lot of people talk about this diet in a positive way. The paleo diet is basically eating the way our ancestors ate, limiting any processed foods, dairy, grains and legumes. I was hoping to see any increase in energy, sleep better and hopefully just feel better all around! The first day was hard and I was STARVING, but after meeting with Elyssa Starkman who eats this diet all the time, I learned a few hacks for snacking during the day to help keep me full. In the middle of the week I was hit with a massive sweet tooth but luckily found a paleo chocolate chip recipe that satisfied that sweet tooth and tasted amazing! This diet is super restrictive, especially when going out to eat, but overall I did feel better and sleep better, just not something that I could remotely do forever!
