I love my morning coffee and every now and then I like to splurge in my favorite latte. Today, I am getting a behind the scenes training at La Colombe coffee to see if I have what it takes to be a barista! I am hoping I can leave this experience with the training I need to make my own 5-star latte art from home - who knows?! I knew it was going to be pretty serious when the first thing I was handed when I got there was a manual. After a quick debrief I learned how to master the pour over. I had no idea how much math went into coffee making! Then I got to try the standard espresso shot on one of their impressive espresso machines. Overall this was such an interesting experience for me as coffee is something I love and getting to see how it is made was so fascinating, but much harder and more technical than I originally thought going in!
